Why an app loses your poker history

Almost always the same way: the app needs you to log in, and one day the login stops working. The phone offloads the app, a token expires, an update resets the session — and years of results are behind a registration screen that will not let you back in.
Greenstack has no account, so it has no login to fail. Your sessions are in a database file on your phone, and you can export or back up that file without asking us for access. For protection from a lost phone or an accidental deletion, keep a copy in iCloud Drive or another place you control.

It tells you what your win rate actually proves

A tracker shows you a number like +$34/hr and you file it away as a fact about how well you play. Usually it is not one. Sixty sessions of poker swings so hard that the honest reading is often “somewhere between losing money and winning a lot, and you cannot tell yet”.
Greenstack puts the error bar next to the number, on the same screen, rather than in a calculator you have to know exists. It shows the range your true win rate really sits in, the chance you are a winning player at all, and how much more you need to play before the maths can call it. Same for tournaments, on ROI. It works out the risk of going broke at your current bankroll, and the bankroll your win rate and swings actually call for.
It is the least flattering thing in the app and the most useful. A downswing you can see is inside the normal range is a downswing you can sit through.

One tap to start

Save your regular game as a template — venue, stakes, usual buy-in. One tap starts it and times it. The clock runs on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island.

Never forget the cash-out

Stopping a session goes straight to the result entry, with no way past it. A session cannot end with the amount unrecorded.

Cash and tournaments kept apart

Hourly rate and big blinds per hour for cash. ROI and in-the-money for tournaments. The two are only ever added together if you explicitly ask.

An hourly rate that is actually right

A session where you did not record the hours is left out of the per-hour maths entirely, instead of being counted as zero hours and quietly inflating your rate.

Bankrolls that add up

Live, online, a specific site, a staking deal. Deposits, withdrawals and transfers. The balance is always worked out from your sessions — there is no box to type a number into.

When to stand up

Results split by how long you sat, by weekday and by time of day. Playing on past your best hours is the most common leak there is, and it is the one your own history can actually catch.
